At One Mind Publishing Publishing, our mission is to empower authors to share their stories with the world. We believe that everyone has a unique voice and perspective to offer, and we are committed to helping them share it.
In today's world, many publishing houses ask for an exhaustive, multi-page submission package right out of the gate. We prefer to keep things focused — and a little old school. We believe a brilliant concept and a strong author platform speak volumes.
We don't want to see sample pages, full manuscripts, or lengthy proposals until we've told you we're interested. Let's start with the heart of your vision first. If it's a match, we'll clearly communicate what we need from there.
We accept submissions exclusively by email. Send your query to info@onemindpublishing.ca and use the subject line: SUBMISSION
** The Zero-Attachment Rule: Please do not include any attachments — no Word documents, PDFs, or images. For security reasons, any submission containing an attachment is automatically deleted, unread.**
Keep your query to three short paragraphs and 350 words or fewer. We're looking for precision, not padding.
Paragraph 1: The Project & Synopsis
Your working title, genre, and a crystal-clear synopsis. A skilled writer can capture their core concept without wasting a word — the more concise and potent your pitch, the more it tells us.
Paragraph 2: Your Reach & Business Plan
Books are a partnership. Tell us about your author platform, your current audience, and your marketing strategy — what you're doing now, and what you plan to do, to help this book succeed as a business.
Paragraph 3: The Author
A brief introduction: who you are, your background, and why you're the right person to write and publish this particular book.
We focus our energy on the authors we currently represent, so we only respond to queries we genuinely feel we can champion.
If you haven't heard from us within six weeks, please take that as a pass on this project. If your platform grows or your concept sharpens down the road, you're welcome to submit a fresh query after six months.
